June 21 2014 Vassar Farm

It was another beautiful day for walking.  It reached the high 70's, there was a mostly blue sky, sun and a slight breeze.  There were 14 of us to enjoy the walk.

Six of us enjoyed brunch at Perkins in Wappingers Falls, rating our meals at 7.5.

there are many personal gardens here, a plot costs $30

the walk begins with quite a long stretch in the open

milkweed beginning to bloom

they have a couple of bluebird houses; this little guy has taken over one

I can't resist taking flower pix

the water in this pond was extremely clear

this area not so much

a little more swamp here

the stream that flows under the bridge

and our happy walkers on the bridge

more swamp

a spider checks out the info

just one of several different types of path on this walk

checking out the new pavilion and the very nice table sets

a  mini "waterfall"
