November 15, 2014 Arden Point/Glenclyffe

It was extremely cold [29 degrees when I left Circleville] but again, it was a pretty and sunny day.  We had 14 people for our last walk of the season. [Marge: we were looking forward to meeting David...maybe next year.]
Eight of us headed for the Beacon Falls Cafe.  Unfortunately, it was very crowded so  we ended up enjoying our brunch at the Yankee Clipper.
I think it was a very good year for us.  We only had two cancellations and we pretty much escaped the horribly hot, humid days[not that there were that many].  We added some new members and hope to keep up the trend.
We'll begin walking either the 2nd or 3rd week of March depending on how the winter goes.
May everyone enjoy the holiday season and hope to see you in 2015.

After the walk, I visited the Bashakill area near Wurtsboro.  This is a very large refuge area.  One section, the boat launch area, has a trail through the birches so I've included a couple of pix of it.  There is also a very nice organic winery there.
