AUGUST 31, 2015 LITTLE STONY POINT

It was an excellent day for walking-pretty sky, coolish temperature-although it got hot later on.  There were 11 of us on the walk plus John W arrived late, walked by himself, and met us afterward in the parking lot.
Pat walked with us and then joined her family to walk Cornish Estate which is across the road from Little Stony Point.
Eight of us brunched at the Yankee Clipper.
An Amtrak train went under the bridge just as we crossed it.

the river and Breakneck?

looking the opposite direction

We walked the beach a bit.

A long train and Storm King Mt.

There's a cave

You can walk in a way but we didn't.

The cliff above the cave.

Some art work

A little cove.

Closeup of the message on the rock.

Pat and I climbed to the top of the river overlook

Cold Spring in the distance.

The view from the top of the rock

And a hi def view.

It was interesting going back down.

I had help mailing out the new schedules.
