It's amazing how we manage to get such a good variety of tasty food with a just "bring what you want" direction.
We walked up the hill on the paved road and then turned right and followed what was supposed to be the yellow trail but most of it had red markers. I had a new map but it didn't seem to correspond with what we followed. We hadn't been on the trail previously and it was a nice, new direction.
The picnic followed with good food and good company.
Right now it's difficult to determine what a new year will bring; but right now I think it's safe to say the picnic is worthwhile and we'll do it again at Norrie Point next year.
We stopped first at the marina |
Hudson view from the marina |
There's a nice little picnic area near the marina |
View of the marina from the road |
And the other side of the road. |
Trail view...it was nice walking in this area. |
And another trail view. |
We did get to the monument. |
The tide had begun to come in as we walked back to the environmental center. |
What a nice group. |
Thanks Deirdra |
