June 23, 2012 Hudson Valley/Highland Rail Trail

It was a beautiful sunny day with reasonable temperatures.  A relief after the very hot week.  We ended up with fourteen walkers.  Most of us met at the Highland Rotary Pavilion which is kind of in the middle of the trail that goes between the walkway and Tony Williams Field in Highland.  Two of our people walked all the way from the walkway to catch up with us as we walked to Tony Williams Field thus adding a few more miles to their walk.
I left my camera home, used CJ's, and didn't do very well with the pictures.  My excuse is lack of familiarity with the camera.
After the walk, five us brunched at the College Diner outside of New Paltz.

It was a beautiful day with blue sky, sun and temperature in the 70s.  We had 12 people walking.  We welcomed new member, Teresa.  We walked down to the river and back up the hill to and through the gardens.

Eight of us enjoyed lunch at the Eveready Diner in Hyde Park.  We discussed some ideas for future walks.

I was away and Carol DeMicco reported that although it was a "misty" day, eight people showed up for the walk.  Afterwards, they enjoyed brunch at Perkins.
