9/24/16 FRANNY REESE PARK

It was a nice day for walking and there were 12 of us plus our three dogs.  We walked to the bridge view and then four of us walked back to the parking area while the rest walked the entire loop.  Eleven of us tried Frida's in Milton for brunch.  It was ok...very busy.

9/1716 LONG DOCK

It was a decent day for walking and there were 17 of us plus our three dogs, Ziggy, Amanda and Michael.  We walked along the river and then most of us walked around Dennings Point.
After nine of us dined at the Yankee Clipper.

9/10/16 NORRIE POINT

It was very hot and humid and only 7 of us braved the walk.  And it worked out extremely well.
We were early enough that it wasn't too warm and we found a great spot under the trees on a hill near the marina so we stayed cool while we were eating.  We had a very enjoyable time.

the environmental center where we've previously picnicked..it's getting a new roof

surprisingly there was no fence here

we had an excellent variety of food

9/3/16 VAL KILL

It was a warm day and there was some confusion getting the Fishkill group together so we arrived late and Christine and crew were already on the trail.  They braved the uphill trek to Top Cottage also.  The rest of us numbered 13 and made it  a relatively short walk in the heat and humidity.  We stopped in the two Val Kill gardens before nine of us enjoyed brunch at the Eveready.
Five of us stopped to check out the gardens at Franklin's home after lunch.

we learned that one man is responsible for the beautifully arranged garden and he's done it for 40 years...very beautiful
